May update - and I need your ideas!

Don't faint - I'm still here. Just about. Sadly, I haven't run off to the Maldives where there's no internet access or gone to live with the koalas in Australia. It's all just a bit hectic at the moment as I'm just coming to the end of my degree course. If you listen, you may even be able to hear my stressful sobs as I painstakingly type out yet another essay. But, it'll all be worth it as in just a few short weeks I will be free!

Guest Post: Beautiful Barcelona

Prior to my trip I found out that most people had travelled to Barcelona at least once or several times and absolutely raved about it. Therefore I thought I was one of the last people to visit! My trip to Barcelona was a last minute weekend away in March 2013. Barcelona is a surprising gem full of delights. So colourful, architecturally stunning and very friendly. Just strolling through the French quarter on a Sunday morning you witness the countless families and dog lovers out enjoying the many recreational areas plotted around the city.

Guest Post: 4 mistakes you should try not to make whilst travelling

As a seasoned traveller, you make mistakes. Luckily after every mistake you make you learn from it (which I guess is the silver lining to this cloud) but at the time there’s nothing quite as bad as the blunder that has just befallen you. I’ve made my fair share of blunders, and so have people I’ve met and come across along the road.
They say there’s no better way to learn that to listen to other people’s tales, so here are 4 tales of misfortune for you to enjoy. Well, not enjoy (per say) but learn from and laugh at.

Blog of the Week: Totally Sam's World

Time for another Blog of the Week - and this week the accolade goes to Sam of Totally Sam's World! Life is quite exciting for Sam at the moment. She's about to embark on a RTW trip with her boyfriend, an epic jaunt that will take her to Asia and Australia - very, very jealous indeed!

Luckily, I managed to grab Sam before she heads off in order to quiz her on her travel plans and experiences...

Blog of the Week: Luggage Tags and Ticket Stubs

The first recipient of The Cosy Traveller's new 'Blog of the Week' feature is...Sophie from Luggage Tags and Ticket Stubs! Sophie has had some amazing travelling adventures, having lived in Hong Kong for 6 months during her Journalism degree. She can regularly be found hopping all over the world in search of top music in a variety of awesome venues. Outside of travel blogosphere, Sophie is  also one of my best friends. Last June we went to Oslo and, until very recently, worked together in London. She's currently teaching English in Xi'an and, well...I miss her! So, I managed to grab her for a quick chat about her travel experiences  and what the next year holds for her!

Guest Post: Curious About Cuba

Time for a guest post! Jen (left) is lucky enough to have visited some enviable travel spots and, in the process, racked up some serious travel tales. So, when she offered to write a blog for the site on her recent trip to Cuba, I jumped at the chance! Cuba has been a country I've wanted to visit for years. With its immaculate beaches and sense of history, it's always seemed like a time capsule of a bygone era. What was Jen's impression of this historic Caribbean island?

Daydreaming: my antidote for the green eyed monster

This time last year, I had all my summer travels booked up. All I had to do was concentrate on containing my excitement long enough to hand in my coursework and pass my uni exams. This year, however, it's a completely different matter. I'm about to graduate from uni, so my priorities have had to be re-evaluated for the time being.  My current aim is to try and squirrel away as much money as possible for potential courses and work placements - easier said than done when you see travel agents wheeling out their best summer deals!
