Last year’s BlogStock was by far my favourite blogging event of 2014 (yes, even beating TBEX in Athens). In fact, I loved it so much that I snapped up my ticket for this year’s event as soon as they went on sale in March – and I can’t wait to pull on my wellies for yet another weekend of blogging festivities this September!
What is BlogStock?
For those of you who may have heard this strange word bandied around on social media, BlogStock is quite simply a festival dedicated to blogging. It gives you the opportunity to network with companies, meet with other bloggers from different genres and learn more about your craft.
Read about my highlights from last year’s BlogStock
Taking place in the same location as last year (Aldenham Country Park in Elstree, London), the festival runs from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th September.
10 Reasons Why You Should Bag a Ticket Now!
1. It’s a relaxed environment in which to meet established and new bloggers over one weekend.
2. …but if you don’t feel like camping, that’s cool. It’s just 25 minutes from St. Pancras station.
3. Sessions are held in tipis and little marquees. It’s the cutest festival you’ll ever attend.
4. Learn from some of the biggest bloggers in the biz, like Monica Stott (The Travel Hack) and Brenna Holeman (This Battered Suitcase)
5. Take part in workshops, wine tasting and yoga sessions (last year Generator Hostels even set up their own fairground!)
6. There are epic parties.
7. Didn’t get tickets to Glastonbury? Bah, who needs Kayne when you’ve got Michael Ball? (This guy. Not the actor/singer.)
8. Learn from different niches, including travel, food, fashion and family bloggers
9. Fancy learning about SEO? Monetization? Vlogging? You’ve found the right place.
10. Last year a dog turned up. An actual dog.
I was inspired so much by last year’s event that I decided to put my head down and really make a go of this here blog. Since then, I’ve worked with top brands including Inghams, Virgin Holidays, icelolly.com and have visited a handful of new countries. I can’t wait to recharge my blogging batteries this September and get some tips for the next year ahead!

Oh Emily, I wasn’t planning on going but you’re really tempting me! I didn’t go last year predominantly because I’m really not much of a camper but you’ve made me seriously reconsider by saying how commutable it is! I’ve been feeling a little low in blog confidence of late so maybe it would be a good way to recharge the blog batteries ☺
haha, I’m so sorry, Shikha! If it’s any consolation, I know exactly how you feel with the ol’ low in blog confidence, but a site as fabulous as yours deserves all the success in the world. BlogStock is just a relaxed, chilled event, plus it’s pretty small so you don’t feel overwhelmed. It’s a great opportunity to connect with companies and other bloggers at a chilled pace. I didn’t camp last year (just commuted in for the Saturday sessions!) but I’m seriously considering staying in one of the nearby hotels. One of them even has a SPA. Think of it as a treat to yourself 😉 x
I would go in a heartbeat but I am booked to be in Budapest – such a pity they clash 🙁
Oh no! But, I can’t be too sad for you because Budapest should be AWESOME 🙂 Plus there’s always next year!
We’re planning to come along to this but haven’t booked our tickets yet, so will use this handy code – cheers Emily! Will be good to meet up in person then if we don’t get round to sorting something beforehand!
Shika – you should come along! It’ll be our first time so we can be newbies together. Oh, and let us know the name of the hotel with the nice spa please? I was thinking of coming down just for Sat day as I don’t like camping but I might make a pampering weekend of it then! 😉
Yes, that would be fabulous – would love to finally meet you both 🙂 This is the hotel: https://www.village-hotels.co.uk/hotels/london-watford/ Looks lovely! x
This is seriously tempting and I loved Traverse, but I’m off to Bali the weekend after so still debating it. If I do, will probably be for the day – would be good to see you and the others
Wow, Bali – gorgeous! At least that’ll give you time to relax, and BlogStock might even inspire some ideas for the trip?!
