Last weekend, I spent 48 hours in Copenhagen.

OK, we’re really talking less than that. More like 29 hours, with 10 of those taken up for sleeping. God, I love sleep.

But anyway. 19 hours awake in Copenhagen, with just a printed out Google map, a vague idea of things I wanted to see, and four cameras because I couldn’t decide which ones to bring and which ones to leave behind.

Oh, and I also dragged my lovely boyfriend along for the ride.

48 hours in CopenhagenMost people thought I was mad for even entertaining the thought of heading to Denmark for one night. But hey ho, when you only have 25 days of annual leave per year you have to make the most of each and every day you’re given.

One of the things I was most excited about with Copenhagen was the opportunity to get some beautiful Scandinavian snaps. While I was aware of the beautiful Nyhavn waterfront area, I was taken aback by the explosion of colour, and the too-hip-for-you vibe. But that was definitely a good thing. It felt so different to other European cities I’d visited – particularly Oslo, which I never really fell in love with.

In case you’re thinking of heading out for your own 48-hour Copenhagen adventure, I’ll be bringing you my top tips over the next week or so. For now, however, here are 10 of my favourite snaps I took over the two days to give you an idea of what I got up to.
